We had a wonderful closure to Singtel Future Makers 2016 two weeks ago, on 21st March 2017, with our seven social impact start-ups and more than 100 guests from the ecosystem including funders, corporates, non-profits, government agencies and entrepreneurs! It was here that we found the secret ingredient to social innovation – disobedience – and this was indeed the topic du-jour at the Singtel Future Makers event.

Our start-ups shared their innovative solutions with our guests, and we had a panel discussion consisting of ecosystem experts, including  NMP Chia Yong Yong (President, SPD), Prof. Wong Poh Kam (Director, NUS Entrepreneurship Centre), Jeff Kwan (Director, MINDS), Lee Zhihan (Co-founder BagoSphere). Then, we had the pleasure of hearing from Dr Janil Puthucheary, Minister of State, MCI & MOE, who came to grace this special occasion and the launch of Singtel Future Makers 2017. Following the launch, our start-ups put up a booth showcase, where they shared their initiatives with the guests up close.
